The Cavs Stand A Chance

The Cleveland Cavailers have a winning percentage over .500 currently and look to clinch the playoffs. With the exceptional style of play from Lebron James the Cavs have a good chance. James dropped 44 points on New Orleans Monday night and led his team to victory in an overtime shoot out. I expect more courgeous performances and efforts from the second year by this superstar in the final month of the regular season. This guy is the real deal, bringing it with full intensity every game. Look for the Cavs to be in the playoffs, despite the looming pressure in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference.

The Final Four

Fierce competition comes down to the wire as North Carolina, Winconsin, Michigan State, and Kentucky battle for spots in the Final Four. Dramatic comebacks and top career performances have occurred. UNC put away Wisconsin earlier in the day with a well deserved win. Sean May lead the way for the Heels, scoring 29 points. Despite Wisconsin's fire from the outside they were outmatched by Carolina's strength in the paint. Select picks and bracket information for the NCAA tournament is available on http://www.yocohoops.com. There is also other college basketball links on the site as well. The remainder of the tournament is definitely going to be thrilling.

Good Bye Blue Devils

The Duke Blue Devils have been knocked out the NCAA tournament by a resurgent Michigan State team. So long Duke, it was fun while it lasted. With them out of the picture things get much more interesting. The conclusion of the game was a shocker for most college hoops fans and supporters. The ten point loss, 78-68 was a devastating blow. That's the magic of March Madness, almost any team can win if they play solid defense and out execute their opponent. The only remaining ACC team is North Carolina since N. C. State lost too.

UNC Basketball Rules Again

The North Carolina men's basketball team is having a stellar season. Coming off a win at Chapel Hill against Duke placed them at the top in the ACC rankings. Even without the short absence of star player, Rashad Mccants the Heels have been proving why they are one of the best teams in the NCAA. Center, Sean May's efforts against the Blue Devils were impressive as he recorded 26 points and 24 rebounds. The ACC tournament is set to get underway shortly and March Madness will begin. UNC looks to put on a show in the tournament and play with the same intensity and gutsyness they have been all year. Only now they'll turn it up a notch, making a run for the championship.

Hot Tempered Coaches

There needs to be more fiery coaches like Bobby Knight. It makes the game of basketball more exciting and entertaining. His wild antics and outbursts are just what college basketball needed, a screamer. He fought and supported his team and still does with raw emotion and blood pumping adernaline. When the man sees referees make a terrible call he lets them know about it by yelling to the top of his lungs followed by flaming obscenties or throwing the occassional chair to state his case and get his point across. College basketball would be better off with more passionate, hot tempered coaches.
